Our First Christmas

This weekend we decorated our apartment together for the first time as a married couple. We bought a 4 foot tree to decorate and were excited to find an ornament that said "Our First Christmas". We also started a little village, it has a school and Victorian style house with a few lamps and kids running around. Each year we plan to add new buildings to make the village more complete.
Jared's favorite was lining the living and dining room with little blue Christmas lights. He did a great job at getting them to stay put and measuring everything out so that they looked amazing when we were finally done putting them up.
When it was time to turn the lights off and turn all the Christmas decorations on, it was wonderful sight. We had so much fun singing Christmas carols while busy making a welcoming home. We are so proud of our work and with each holiday we feel more at home here in Tucson.

Cute! Our first Christmas tree, was a decoration that one of the cafeteria ladies had given Grandma. It was made out of baby food jars, and had Christmas lights shining through the jars. Our second Christmas tree was folded green towels in a laundry basket, to sort of resemble the Christmas tree shape. Ah - fond memories.

I remember our first Christmas tree! It's so fun to decorate for Christmas and do those things together!
