On Thanksgiving day, Jared went and picked us out a HUGE turkey to cook and eat after Thanksgiving. Jared doesn't go small, he chose a turkey that was 22 pounds! He got it at an amazing price of only eight dollars, 39 cents a pound. Way to bargin shop Jared! So after Thanksgiving, we returned home to cook our massive prize. It took us over five hours to cook, but was well worth the wait. We invitied a married couple from our ward over to enjoy the feast and they helped us prepare our huge meal. Together we had: a turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, and a pumpkin dessert. WOW! We had two Thanksgiving meals this year! Everything turned out amazing and the turkey that Jared spiced up tasted wonderful! The turkey we didn't eat (most of it) we put in containers and froze for future meals throughout the year. It was a fun way to spread out the holiday season!
