Laguna Beach

Saturday, Jared suggested that we explore a new beach this weekend. So, we went exploring down to Laguna beach, which is about 30 minutes away from Huntington beach(where we usually go). We actually went to the Montage Resort, which is right on the beach and they have crevices I guess you can call them, that the ocean made that you can walk around on. We found hermit crabs, sea coral, and other sea creatures that I don't even know what to call them. It was a really gorgous beach with lots of wildlife and shells everywhere. Unfortunately, I didn't charge the camera from our Disneyland adventure, so we weren't able to take pictures. But we want to go again, so we will take pictures then. It was really neat to explore down there and see the clear water(which felt very nice by the way). Anyways, it was yet another great idea from Jared! What a relaxing and fun way to spend our Saturday afternoon.

Thursday & Friday- Start on Tuesday

Before you read this...start on Tuesday! I messed up!!!! So scroll up from Tuesday and it will make more sense!

Both days were spent at the happiest place on earth! Needless to say, we all had a blast. All five of us got up bright and early both Thursday and Friday to spen as much time there possible. We all had our favorites, Jared's was definitely the Indiana Jones Ride, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and the Buzz Lightyear shooting one. I was laughing so hard at Jared in the Buzz ride becuase he woulnd't even hold still enough for me to take a picture of him! He was focusing so hard on shooting all of the aliens...I swear I married a kid! It was really cute though. I had a lot of favorites, but my all time favorite still remains....Space Mountain!!!! They have re-done it since the last time I came(10 odd years ago) and it was 10x better than what I remember it being like. I HIGHLY recommend it!! The girls and Nate liked all the ones mentioned above, give or take a few. I honestly can't remember what everyone liked except Jared because even though that week is said and done, we can't stop talking about all the rides we like the most. At the end of both days we were all exhausted, but mostly on Friday. But I am glad we took advantage of the time we had there, it was a blast!

All in all, it was a great week and when Nate and the girls left, we got really sad. It was nice to have visitors. Thanks for sharing your spring break with us!

Wednesday

Wednesday we went shopping in this really big outdoor mall in Irvine(30 mins away). We actually didn't end up getting more than a shirt each, but it was fun to spend time together looking around.

The girls decided they wanted to go back to the beach, they had had so much fun the day before. So back to the beach we went, not so lucky with parking spaces unfortunately, but it ended up being just as much fun as the day before. The girls got worn out faster though, so they worked on their tans for most of the time. We tried to stay for the sunset but it started getting really cold around 5 so we retreated early. Jared called not too long after we started hiking back to the car, telling us that we were missing the most amazing sunset he'd ever seen. The girls were dissapointed...

That day the fog was really bad, but despite the groggy weather, all four of us met up with Nate(Jared's friend from BYU) and went out to a sea food place and went biking out along the beach. It was really chilly, but it was fun to go biking around. Jared and Nate enjoyed the chance to catch up on their new lives. It was fun for me to see Jared with friends that he knew before he met me.

Tuesday

So, last Monday night my sister kara and her friend Christa flew in to stay the week! Tuesday morning we woke up, and went to the park close by. I had been saving bread that Jared and I hadn't been able to eat for this occasion. We went out and fed/ got attacked by ducks. Despite being chased after with hundreds of sea gulls, ducks, geese, you name it, we had a lot of fun. We had this one duck that followed after us, even after going to the opposite side of the park. It was pretty hilarious, apparenly she was very hungry!

Later that day, we decided it was really warm out, so we drove down to Hungtington beach. The girls had a blast playing in the water. I honestly was surprised they got in considering the water was pretty frigid- but I guess I have to remember how hot it is in AZ right now. They loved it and it was fun to shop at the little beach stores nearby.

Happy Nine Months Hunny!

Saturday the 14th will be the ninth month that Jared and I have been married. I can't believe it's already gone by that fast, but it has! Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to tell Jared nine things I love about him....

1. Your smile & laugh- no matter how bad a mood I am in, hearing you laugh makes me so happy

2. Your hard work- no one can argue that you are the hardest worker. Everyday you go to work happily, even though you know it will be a long day. I know it's hard to go when I get to stay home, but I appreciate that you continue to work hard for us.

3. Surprises- you are full of surprises! Though they are subtle, I love how you will do little things for me like cleaning the house, or doing dishes. I really appreciate it!

4. You're so sweet- you are always so concerned about my safety, and want to make sure I get enough to eat, etc. You worry more about me than yourself always.

5. You love to explore- i am soooo thankful I married you because you love to try new things! I am so boring and stuck in routines, and you pull me out of that and show me how to find new things to enjoy. Even though I growl and grumble, just know that I truly appreciate it about you!

6. You initiate- i hated dating guys who didn't have a brain and couldn't make a decision! You are perfect because you decide something and we do it!(unless i have an objection)

7. You decorate- i love how this house is beautiful.....because you made it that way! I don't know the first thing to decorating, and you make our house look like a model home. Thank you for making it cozy!

8. You're helpful- you're not lazy, you help clean, wash, and pull me out of moods. Most wives complain about their husbands not helping, but i NEVER EVER complain about that!

9. You're You!!- More than all of the wonderful qualities you have, I love you because you are you! And that is the most beautiful aspect about you!

I love you Jared, and happy anniversary baby!

A Sunny Afternoon at the Beach

On Saturday, Jared and I decided to go out to Huntington Beach(15 minutes away) for a couple of hours. We gathered a beach volleyball, towels, food, and headed out! Jared attempted to teach me how to play volleyball-which happens to be my least favorite sport (due to the fact that I always get hit in the head when I play). But Jared was really patient with me, and I sort of got "setting" down. Though I am sure all will be forgotten the next time we go. Oh well, it was fun! Then we went and walked around the beach and put our toes in the water, Jared was all about that, it was a little too cold for me. Overall, the beach is really nice and clean, so we are looking forward to bringing visitors out there when we get the chance. Just want to add a little tid-bit, for Sunny and all other relatives out there that still have snow.....it was a fun sunny day of 75 degrees!!
